Marc-André Sirard
Le Dr Sirard est professeur titulaire depuis 1995, année où il a fondé le Centre de recherche en biologie de la reproduction (CRBR), qui se veut aujourd’hui le plus important centre de recherche œuvrant en ce domaine au Canada. Il est détenteur d’une Chaire senior du Canada en génomique de la reproduction et il dirige depuis 5 ans le réseau stratégique canadien (CRSNG) EmbryoGENE dont le mandat consiste à décrire et comprendre l’effet des techniques de reproduction assistée sur la qualité de l’embryon. Le Dr Sirard compte à son actif plus de 232 articles scientifiques publiés dans des revues avec comités de pairs. Son index H (53) le place en tête des scientifiques canadiens en reproduction animale et humaine. Il a réussi cet exploit grâce aux 90 étudiants gradués et stagiaires postdoctoraux qu’il a formés et qui sont les principaux auteurs de ces articles. Il a signé 12 chapitres de livres et présenté plus de 72 conférences sur invitation dans des congrès internationaux.
