Biologiste moléculaire, je travaille surtout en recherche en virologie à l'aide du séquençage à haut débit grâce auquel je fais de la caractérisation génomique de virus potentiellement émergents en Afrique Centrale. Mes intérêts de recherche s'étendent néanmoins à l'oncologie à travers l'exploration de cancers d'origine infectieuse. Je suis toujours intéressée à développer de nouvelles collaborations de recherche car ce n'est qu'ensemble que l'on peut faire avancer la science!

Les cancers sont si complexes et leur réalité fatale pourtant si simple! Plus que juste les comprendre il nous faut apprendre à les éliminer mais surtout à les éviter. La génomique à la base de toute vie apporte souvent des réponses sur le pourquoi, le comment des êtres vivants. La virologie car les virus évoluent trop vite pour que l'on puisse penser les connaître. Le séquençage à haut débit et toutes les possibilité qu'il nous offre...Formation

Avec l'organisation du colloque #104 sur le ''séquençage à haut débit en pays en voie de de développement'' j'espère marquer les esprits sur la recherche scientifique et l'utilisation des hautes technologies dans des régions où de brillants esprits sont limités par un environnement parfois hostile et aride en finances. C'est peu mais il faut bien commencer quelque part...de la discussion jaillit la lumière dit-on!!! De ce colloque jaillira un peu plus j'espère...
