Dr. N. Anandaraja is presently working as Professor and Head, Training Division, Directorate of Extension education, TNAU, Coimbatore. He joined in TNAU during 2004 and served in various TNAU institutes for the past 18 years.

He has been specialized in Information and Communication Technologies in Agriculture (ICT-A) and bagged two prestigious Awards on ICARs best Post Graduate Agricultural Research Award on Jawaharlal Nehru Award and Young Scientist Award constituted by Indian Science Congress Association from the former president of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam during 2005 and 2007 respectively for his Multimedia research. 

He has completed twenty-eight externally funded projects from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, NADP, IFPRI, Michigan University, ICAR and IGNOU to the tune Rs. 36 crores. 

Unique and noteworthy contributions are TNAU AGRI TECH Portal, Multi-video Conferencing Facility, Dynamic Market Information and Expert System in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry . He has instrumental to avail best e-governance award to TNAU during 2012 and 2015 from the by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India, New Delhi.

He has explored The power and potential of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) intervention in Transfer of Farm Technology which may accelerate the speed of flow of technology, weather data and price information to extension system and finally reach to the needy farmers.
