Guy Sauvageau

Je suis un biologiste qui étudie les cellules souches et un généticien moléculaire. Mes intérêts de recherche portent sur l'identification des bases moléculaires se cachant derrière l’auto-renouvellement des cellules souches hématopoïétiques humaines, à travers des approches chemogénomiques. Je suis actuellement chercheur principal à l'Institut de Recherche en Immunologie et en Cancérologie (IRIC) de l'Université de Montréal. Un jour par semaine, je continue à voir des patients qui ont reçu des greffes de moelle osseuse à l'hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. Par le passé, j'ai été le directeur scientifique fondateur, puis le directeur général de l'IRIC pour respectivement 10 et 7 ans. Mon laboratoire est bien connu pour ses recherches sur les réseaux moléculaires en utilisant à la fois des approches génétiques et chemogénomiques et en effectuant des criblages à haut débit sur des échantillons primaires.
