
Kayoum Djedidi
I am Kayoum Djedidi, a Microelectronics and Embedded Systems engineer and a Telecommunications PhD candidate from Tunisia, currently based in Montreal, Canada. I am the CEO and co-founder of OORB (Open Organic Robotics), a startup focused on democratizing robotics through open-source and AI-driven solutions. My expertise lies in FPGA development, real-time simulation, and digital twin technology, and I am deeply passionate about integrating AI and robotics into both education and industry.
My IEEE journey began as the founder of IEEE ESSTHS SB 5 years ago, where we built a strong community. Over the years, I have taken on various leadership roles within the IEEE Tunisia Section and its chapters, including serving as Chair of TSYP11, the largest IEEE student event in Region 8. I have also been actively involved in IEEE IES and AESS, and I currently serve as the AESS Graduate Student Representative and a member of the AESS Board of Governors. and a member of the IEEE IES YP committee.
